We have just picked up 2 new chickens from the lovely Moonridge Farm Daddy tells us they are called bantams, but we think they are lovely, they are very friendly and like to sit on our laps and peck around. We hope to have lots of lovely eggs for our breakfast soon, but are just enjoying playing with our new friends. We’ve called the Jemima and Vanessa and they have very fluffy feet.
One of our favourite things is to have fish and chips at the seaside with mummy and daddy. The best thing ever is to head to the beach with a picnic blanket, and stop off at the fish and chip shop on the way.
Our favourite beaches for this are Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, and Saunton.
We then like to paddle our toes in the sea, and sometimes have an ice cream as a treat.
Rory and his daddy decided to pay a visit to Mr Ben’s Emporium in Cullompton as both Rory and Bubble had been very poorly with chickenpox, and while she was getting better we went out for a lunchtime treat.
The Babycino’s are fab, and come in animal mugs, the milkshakes are yummy, and daddy likes the coffee they make too.
We had a lovely lunch of a toasted wrap with bacon, chicken, cheese and BBQ sauce. They do lots of yummy things in here, wraps and subs, and spiders ( daddy calls these coke floats).
It was lots of fun in here, they have a little chair for small children, a high chair for babies, and best of all fuzzy felt for you to play with. But what’s really brilliant is all the fancy dress things, our favourites were the clown and the stormtrooper helmet.
We love sunny days, and there’s lots of fun things to do in Devon when the sun is shining. We love to visit Greendale Farm Shop on sunny days and buy lots of nice food from the shop and have a picnic with Nanny and Grandad.
They also have some ostriches, alpacas, and lots of fab chickens.
But best of all we like the cake! Daddy is happy as there is lots of nice food and drink he can buy, and mummy is happy because there is cake.
Helping Daddy grow veg in the garden.
Days at the Seaside!
We went to the Church House Inn for Mummys birthday treat, as Daddy said this was the Best Country Pub in all of Devon.
We don’t know about that, becuase we haven’t been to all of the pubs in Devon yet. We are still a bit young for that……
We went here on a busy Sunday for lunch, and they were really friendly towards us, and Bubble was given a high chair.
We were all hungry so had the Sunday Beef, we thought this was yummy and soft, the potatoes were fluffy and crunchy at the same time, and best of all there was lots of it!
We shared a half portion and this was too much even for us little foodies. Mummy and Daddy had a big plate and had very full tummies. Mummy had some lovely red wine as a treat for her birthday.
There wasn’t even any room for a cake so we had lemonade instead.
Everyone said we were very good children and were really nice to us, we’d like to go here again.
Our Daddy has helped us to set up this blog, so we can share our adventures in food and fun living in the lovely South West.
We want to tell you about all the fun places to eat in the South West, and where you can take your little ones.
Our favourite places to eat so far
River Cottage Canteen– Axminster – A man called Hugh makes nice cheese on toast and they were nice to us there.
We like Curry 🙂
Mint & Mustard -Taunton – The lovely people here had just opened and they bought us 2 high chairs when Daddy called them, we had lunch here and they made us our very own curry.
